wasabi wednesday

do you know what i absolutely l o v e? Food. I love food. I don't actually like making food most of the time though but that doesn't really matter since there's this little thing called a "restaurant" that does that for you. I'm going out for what was supposed to be a "big-little" dinner with me, my roommate, one of our friends from our pc and our respective littles but all of the little ones have work to do (sad, right?). Obviously, that didn't deter us seniors at all so we're still going out to eat at Mt. Fuji, the local Japanese restaurant. Nom nom nom. I can't wait. Best part? It's byob. Is there a better combination than wine and sushi? Because if there is, I haven't discovered it yet.
So yesterday was Fat Tuesday and it was surprisingly lackluster. Not that I really expected anything less, considering it is mid-terms week (no mid-terms for me though!), but people weren't even wearing beads around during the day. It was kind of sad actually.

Something else that's really sad....the fact that my sorority has taken such a different direction than when I joined it. I feel so bad for all of the sophomores (we rush and pledge as sophomores here) because they've never known the Kappa that I've knew. I feel like they've gotten such a limited view of what it means to be Kappa because so many chapter traditions have just kind of gone out of the window...is that a weird thing to be upset about? I'm honestly not that into sorority life usually but I think I'm getting kind of sentimental about it since I'm on my way out.

Sorry that this post was kind of all over the place! I'm in a really loopy mood right now and it's definitely coming across as I'm writing haha

it is better to have raged and lost than to have never raged at all. tfm.

It's just going to be one of those weeks...I can tell. One of those weeks where even though nothing is technically wrong, the whole thing just feels a little bit off. Is there a cure for those kinds of weeks yet because if so, holla at yo gurlllll. I've been trying to change the mood of the week byyyyy
  • painting my nails a super BRIGHT color

not my hands but pretty much the same polish color
  • making soup from scratch
also not my actual soup. you know this because i have prettier bowls
  • wearing super dressy outfits

on mondays, we wear black
  • wearing super NOT dressy outfits

please notice that both my dressy and not dressy outfits showcase serious black.

  • watching laser light shows at my friends' place (having dj friends is fun!)

finally...actually our laser shows
  • eating suuuuuper sour apples
  • and my favorite....spending way too much time on my new favorite website, Total Frat Move

Seriously though. I DIE for TFM (as insider's call it). Read it! Although warning do not read it if you are a sensitive, easily offended boring person (just kidding...you're not boring). This website has a very specific audience so keep that in mind! warning over I personally don't think the TSMs on the site are as funny as the TFMs but they're still definitely true....I def have some girls like that in my sorority. Sad but true.

At this rate, the week will be over before I know it!

hey mister dj, put a record on

Went and saw the new Chronicles of Narnia movie today (Voyage of the Dawn Treader) and I really enjoyed it! The movie definitely changed some parts of the book but totally did it in a way that still worked and made sense with the overall plot. The actor who played Eustace was spot on and Prince Caspian was hot...I might have to rewind a bit and watch the last movie just for the eye-candy haha. Anywho, even though I'm the farthest thing from someone who likes to cook (I'd eat ramen every other day if it was up to me and usually do when I'm at school), I made eggrolls today! Nom! Believe me when I say this probably won't happen again anytime soon...

Here are some other pitchahss of things in my life right this very second:

A gingerbread house my little bro and I made with our kitchen
Christmas tree in the background. Oh hey Santa!
clearly the peppermint windows didn't work out the way we wanted

Oh Christmas Tree!
