charm city

I went down to Baltimore this morning with my mom and one of her friends to check out one of those bookstores that will let you swap your books (I cleaned out my room all day saturday and found a few things to donate) and it was really cool because all the books there are free! Yup, 100% free. It runs entirely off of donations from people but you don't have to donate anything to take books. There's not even a limit to how many books you can have and they actually provide huge boxes for you to carry out filled with your new treasures. Needless to say, for someone like me whose mom's idea of punishment when I was little was to not let me read (laugh all you want but that sucked), it was HEAVEN.On the way down to the city we decided to try to eat lunch in a little Cuban restaurant called Little Havana but the wait was outrageously long so that was a no go (obviously they're doing something right so I'll try again later and let you guys know how it was) and ended up at a less than satisfactory cafe but I got a nice hot chai out of the deal so I was okay with it haha. Regardless it was nice to see a little bit more of Baltimore. I only live 30 minutes away but I rarely ever venture down there.

In other news, I feel like my school is the only one in the universe that hasn't started classes yet. This break was TOO long.
